Ryan’s goals for his position are to help all IFC chapters to exceed the all undergraduate men’s GPA and succeed with the Standards of Excellence so that all chapters remain recognized and in good standing. | | | Jon Carbaugh View Bio | | IFC Activities Director | jcarbaugh20@gmail.com | | Jonathan Carbaugh is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was the Homecoming delegate for his chapter in fall of 2007 and 2008, as well as the Greek Week delegate in spring of 2008. He is his chapter's sports director, was also involved in FratMANERS and held an officer position in Greeks Gone Green.
Through his experiences in Sig Ep, he has made friends with those in other councils and continues to strive toward chapter unity. He understands the benefits and importance of community service. He carries along the competitive nature that has stemmed from the standards that our Greek system has put forth. He is constantly striving to do his part to combat the negative image that we as Greeks face on a daily basis and hope to bring that mentality to our fraternity system.
He wants to take a dynamic approach to the way Greek Week and Homecoming are perceived within the Greek community, as well as externally throughout the community and other organizations. First, we are going to start by incorporating the USFC and NPHC councils even more than the past from the beginning and allowing the Homecoming and Greek Week delegates to be a larger part of the collaboration process. Being part of both events for the past year and a half, He has seen many good things come from it, as well as things that could be changed for the better. He also hopes to work with Aztec Athletics by getting more Greek support to athletic contests, working with our IFC Sports Chair in making intramurals more of spectacle, and setting up community service to benefit both our community and ourselves.
Any help, contacts, resources, or ideas are greatly appreciated and can be contacted at jcarbaugh20@gmail.com |
| | | Cody Barbo View Bio | | IFC Assistant Activities Director | codybarbo@mac.com | | Cody Barbo is from Huntington Beach, CA and has been at SDSU since the fall of 2007. Outside of Phi Kap, Cody has been actively involved in the Greek community, serving on the Greek Week executive board as Greek Games Coordinator. In addition, Cody is a member of University Affairs Board of Associated Students.
As Assistant Activities Director, he has 3 goals for next year that he wants to ensure are accomplished. First, he wants to take a new direction with Homecoming and Greek Week. He feels that by catering to the interests of our Greek community, as well as fellow Aztecs, we can ensure higher participation. His second goal is having events that Greeks want to go to. This can be anything from a concert to setting a world record, basically something to remember. Last, He would like to create an incentive for Greeks to go to these events. It’s one thing to say that you won Homecoming or Greek Week, but it’s another thing to say that we won a new flat screen television for our chapter.
